Katrin Eggenberger began her professional career in 2002, while still in school, with a one-year internship at LGT Bank in Liechtenstein. She went on to hold positions in private banking and portfolio management at VP Bank (2004–2008), followed by her role as Head of Fund-Based Asset Management at Notenstein Private Bank (2008–2014), where she was also a member of the executive board. From 2016 to 2019, she held leadership positions at the World Economic Forum (WEF), serving among other roles as Chief of Staff and Head of the Community of Chairpersons, as well as being responsible for the development of the innovation platform UpLink. In 2019, Katrin Eggenberger earned her PhD in political science from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a dissertation on taxation, sanctions, and extraterritoriality, supervised in part by Nobel laureate Joseph E. Stiglitz. Between 2019 and 2021, she served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Culture for the Principality of Liechtenstein. From 2022 to 2023, she worked as a Senior Advisor in the field of transport and infrastructure technology at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C.

Since 2021, she has served as a Senior Advisor at Agora Strategy Group (Germany), a board member and Chief Strategist at AISquare Inc. (USA), Chair of the Board at CIOS (Switzerland), board member at Deon Digital AG (Switzerland and Denmark), and Chair of the AdBoard East at Implenia (Switzerland). In addition, she is actively involved as a trustee of the Pro Futura Foundation for Youth and the Culture and Congress Centre Verrucano in Switzerland.
