Dr. Luchsinger Gähwiler Catrina

Professional career
After graduating with a degree in law, in 1992 Catrina Luchsinger Gähwiler joined an international law firm in Zurich as a junior associate. She then worked at the district court of Meilen for a prolonged period, and in early 1995 took the bar exam in the canton of Zurich. From 1995 to 1997, she was assistant to Prof. Dr. Peter Forstmoser at the University of Zurich, where she authored her doctoral thesis on ‚The Sale of Shares in Funds‘. Since 1997 she has worked as a lawyer in Zurich, joining the law firm MLL Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep AG in 2000 where she has been a partner since 2007. She specializes in transactions (financing transactions and M&A), capital markets law and financial markets law. From early 2012 to the end of 2016, she became a managing partner at the law firm, which has around 80 lawyers across five offices. She is a member of the International Bar Association, the International Pacific Bar Association and the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce.
